About Global Environment and Energy Leadership Awards   

The Global Environment & Energy Leadership Award 2025 is a prestigious national initiative dedicated to honoring outstanding individuals, organizations, and innovative projects that demonstrate exemplary leadership in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable energy. This distinguished award program is a key component of the Global Sustainable Energy Summit 2025, being held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, organized by the EcoSustainable Development Foundation (ESDF).

The award celebrates visionaries and change-makers whose impactful contributions are shaping India’s green transition and supporting global environmental goals. It recognizes efforts that address climate and energy challenges, promote sustainable development, and inspire collective action for a cleaner, greener, and more resilient future.

Recognizing Outstanding Contributions in Environmental Leadership, Clean Energy, and Sustainable Development

The Global Environment & Energy Individual Awards 2025 honor exceptional individuals who have demonstrated visionary leadership, innovation, and commitment toward advancing environmental sustainability and clean energy transformation. These awards celebrate changemakers whose impactful contributions are shaping a greener, more resilient future for India and the world.

A total of 11 Individual Awards will be presented in 2025:

1. Lifetime Achievement Award in Environment & Sustainable Energy

Honors an individual with a distinguished career dedicated to environmental protection, renewable energy promotion, and long-term sustainability impact.

2. Green Leadership Excellence Award

Recognizes exemplary leadership in driving sustainable development, environmental protection programs, and green policy implementation.

3. Innovator of the Year – Clean Energy Solutions

Presented to an individual who has introduced groundbreaking innovations in clean energy technologies, systems, or applications.

4. Climate Action Champion Award

Awarded to a leader who has demonstrated outstanding contributions in climate change mitigation, adaptation, or carbon reduction initiatives.

5. Young Environmental Leader Award (Below 35 Years)

Recognizes emerging youth leaders showing exceptional passion, innovation, and community impact in environmental or energy-related fields.

6. Renewable Energy Leadership Award

Celebrates individuals who have championed large-scale renewable energy adoption, innovation, or policy development.

7. Excellence in Environmental Research & Innovation Award

Presented to an academic or researcher contributing significantly to environmental science, technology, and impactful sustainability research.

8. Sustainability Leadership in Corporate Sector Award

9. Environmental Journalism & Awareness Award

Honoring Exceptional Environmental Practices, Clean Energy Leadership & Sustainable Institutional Impact

The Global Environment & Energy Institutional Awards 2025 recognize organizations, institutions, and enterprises that have demonstrated transformative leadership, impactful sustainability initiatives, and measurable contributions to environmental and clean energy advancement.

A total of 11 Institutional Awards will be presented in 2025:

1. Outstanding Institution in Sustainable Energy Development

Awarded to an institution demonstrating leadership in clean energy development, renewable adoption, and sustainable energy solutions.

2. Best Renewable Energy Organization of the Year

Recognizes exceptional renewable energy companies driving large-scale clean energy transitions and innovations.

3. Excellence in Environmental Conservation & Biodiversity Protection

Presented to an organization committed to protecting ecosystems, restoring biodiversity, and implementing conservation programs.

4. Green & Sustainable Infrastructure Award

Honors institutions developing environment-friendly, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient infrastructure.

5. Clean Technology Innovation Organization of the Year

Recognizes organizations driving tech-based solutions for pollution control, waste management, clean energy, or resource conservation.

6. Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) Excellence Award

Awarded to corporates demonstrating strong environmental stewardship through impactful sustainability and CER initiatives.

7. Leading Academic/Research Institution in Environment & Energy

Celebrates academic bodies producing pioneering research, training, and sustainable development advancements.

8. Eco-Friendly Municipal/Local Government Body Award

Presented to municipal or local government entities demonstrating effective green governance and environmental improvements.

9. Sustainable Manufacturing & Industry Leadership Award

Honors industries implementing eco-friendly production systems, emission reduction, energy efficiency, and green manufacturing excellence.

10. NGO Excellence Award in Environment & Climate Action

Recognizes non-profit organizations driving impactful grassroots work in climate resilience, environmental awareness, and sustainable development.

11. Best Public Sector Initiative in Renewable Energy & Sustainability

Awarded to government departments or PSUs implementing large-scale renewable energy or sustainability initiatives.

FEE STRUCTURE (Registration Fees )

Rule & regulation:

1. Last date to submit required Information is 12 December 2025. Submit  before last date.
2. The file size should not be more than 25MB.
3. The duration of video/audio should not exceed 2 minutes.
4. An entry will be deemed accepted only when the entry fee as prescribed has been received by the Awards organizer through an online payment. No refund will be made, once the payment is submitted.
5. The decision of the jury is final. Entrants whose entries are shortlisted will be notified by Email Communications.
6. The Awards are judged by a panel of independent judges. The judges reserve the right to re-classify or reject any entry that does not comply with the requirements of these Terms of Entry or the entry criteria. No feedback will be given on individual/organizational entries. In all matters, the decision of the judges shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered.
7. If no Participant in a category are found to be satisfying the eligibility by the Awards Management, the prize may be cancelled. The decision of the Awards Management in this regard will be final and non-contestable. The Awards Management will not entertain any queries in this regard.
8. All entries must be submitted by Submission Date. The Awards organizer has no responsibility for the incomplete entries and all such entries will be deemed invalid.
9. The Award categories may be changed / modified / split / merged / increased or cancelled by the Awards Management and / or Jury based on the number of entries received in any category, and the quality of the entries. The decision in this regard will be final, non-contestable and binding on all participants. The Awards Management will not entertain any queries in this regard.
