The Global Environment Leadership Award 2025 is a prestigious initiative that recognizes exceptional individuals, projects, and organizations demonstrating leadership and innovation in advancing environmental sustainability on a national and global scale. This award is part of the Global Environment Leadership Summit 2025, hosted at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi by the EcoSustainable Development Foundation (ESDF).

The award celebrates visionary leaders and institutions whose impactful actions have significantly contributed to addressing climate challenges, conserving natural resources, promoting green innovations, and fostering public awareness on environmental issues. Through this recognition, the award promotes a culture of environmental responsibility, corporate sustainability, and ecological stewardship.

The Global Environment Leadership Award 2025 honors excellence in the following areas:

• Climate action and carbon reduction
• Renewable energy adoption and innovations
• Biodiversity conservation and natural resource management
• Waste reduction and circular economy practices
• Environmental education and community engagement
• Sustainable business strategies and green leadership

Eligibility
Participation is open to a wide range of environmental champions, including:

• Corporate and public sector sustainability leaders
• Green entrepreneurs and innovators
• Environmental and CSR professionals
• Women leaders in environmental action
• Academicians and researchers in environmental sciences
• NGOs and community-based organizations
• Changemakers in climate advocacy and education

Awards Categories:  Nominations are accepted from both individuals and organizations. 

Global Environment Individual Awards Categories

Recognizing Outstanding Contributions in Environmental Leadership and Sustainability

The Global Environment Individual Awards honor outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exemplary dedication, innovation, and leadership in advancing environmental sustainability and green transformation. These awards celebrate professionals whose work has had a meaningful and lasting impact in shaping a more eco-conscious and resilient world.

Five categories of Individual Awards will be presented in 2025 to honor career service, leadership, and transformative contributions in the field of environmental sustainability:

1. Global Environmental Visionary Leadership Award
   Presented to a distinguished individual who has shown exceptional foresight and leadership in promoting global or national environmental sustainability through innovative policies, strategies, or movements.

2. Corporate Green Leadership for Nation Building Award
   Awarded to a corporate leader whose sustainable practices, green business strategies, and CSR initiatives have significantly contributed to environmental stewardship and the nation’s sustainable development goals.

3. Women Leadership in Environmental Sustainability Award
   Recognizes an inspiring woman leader whose impactful contributions in environmental conservation, green innovation, or advocacy have set a benchmark for gender-inclusive sustainability leadership.

4. Outstanding Public Sector Environmental Leadership Award
   Given to a public sector leader who has initiated and implemented forward-thinking environmental policies or sustainable development programs that benefit society and the ecosystem.

5. Environmental Education and Green Skills Leadership Award
   Acknowledges individuals in the academic or training sector who have made a significant impact in promoting environmental education, skill development in sustainability, and awareness among future generations.

Global Environment Organizational Awards Categories

Honoring Exceptional Environmental Practices and Institutional Commitment to Sustainability

The Global Environment Organizational Awards recognize exemplary organizations, institutions, and corporate entities whose initiatives, innovations, and leadership have significantly advanced the cause of environmental sustainability. These awards celebrate organizations that have implemented forward-thinking strategies, overcome real-world challenges, and demonstrated measurable impact in promoting green development.

Five categories of Organizational Awards will be presented in 2025. Nominations will be evaluated on the basis of originality, problem-solving effectiveness, implementation strategies, sustainability, long-term outcomes, and environmental impact.

1. Best Corporate for Environmental Nation Building Award
   Awarded to a corporate organization that has embedded environmental sustainability into its core operations, policies, and social initiatives—contributing meaningfully to national and global environmental goals.

2. Best Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) for Environmental Development Award
   Recognizes a PSU that has demonstrated exemplary leadership in integrating sustainability into governance, infrastructure, or service delivery with measurable environmental and community impact.

3. Excellence in Green CSR Leadership Award
   Presented to an organization whose Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives have created significant and lasting contributions toward ecological balance, biodiversity, waste reduction, and green community development.

4. Renewable Energy and Green Innovation Award
   Awarded to an organization that has pioneered cutting-edge solutions, technologies, or projects in the renewable energy sector, significantly contributing to clean energy adoption and environmental protection.

5. Environmental Innovation and Technology Leadership Award
   Honors an institution or enterprise that has leveraged technology and innovation to address environmental challenges—ranging from pollution control and waste management to conservation and sustainable resource use.

Rule & regulation:

1. Last date to submit Registration form is 31 May 2025. Submit registration form along with the fee before last date.
2. The file size should not be more than 25MB.
3. The duration of video/audio should not exceed 2 minutes.
4. An entry will be deemed accepted only when the entry fee as prescribed has been received by the Awards organizer through an online payment. No refund will be made, once the payment is submitted.
5. The decision of the jury is final. Entrants whose entries are shortlisted will be notified by Email Communications.
6. The Awards are judged by a panel of independent judges. The judges reserve the right to re-classify or reject any entry that does not comply with the requirements of these Terms of Entry or the entry criteria. No feedback will be given on individual/organizational entries. In all matters, the decision of the judges shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered.
7. If no Participant in a category are found to be satisfying the eligibility by the Awards Management, the prize may be cancelled. The decision of the Awards Management in this regard will be final and non-contestable. The Awards Management will not entertain any queries in this regard.
8. All entries must be submitted by Submission Date. The Awards organizer has no responsibility for the incomplete entries and all such entries will be deemed invalid.
9. The Award categories may be changed / modified / split / merged / increased or cancelled by the Awards Management and / or Jury based on the number of entries received in any category, and the quality of the entries. The decision in this regard will be final, non-contestable and binding on all participants. The Awards Management will not entertain any queries in this regard.
